It’s a great utility for tweaking Vista and offers a great variety of options to suit more casual users, while still retaining functionality that should please powerusers as well. I recently saw a post on the Windows Experience Blog that said SkyDrive was updated to 1GB of storage, double of what it was previously. I went back to check it out, and I have to say I’m quite impressed. Along with the storage update, there is now RSS feeds for your public folders, and access to your friends public folders. Since I recently purchased a new laptop, I have been looking for an easy way to transfer and store files, and SkyDrive fits that need perfectly. I can access these files from anywhere giving me even great flexibility. Another great feature is the ability to share files with your friends, or create a public folder which anyone can have access to. With public folders, you can give users a url to access the files, or you can even embed the folder in your blog or web site. Windows Live SkyDrive is still in beta, but you can follow any news or developments at their team blog. After using it over the past couple of weeks, I have no problem recommending it to others, and it’s a great way to collaborate with your co-workers, especially if you are traveling or work from home.
